ThreatDown versus Reddit
Compare	ThreatDown	Reddit
Verdict	Worth it	Depends
Best for	SMB IT teams	Niche community discussion
Who it's not for	Large enterprises needing XDR/SOAR breadth . CrowdStrike-class platforms fit better	B2B validation . reviewers say G2 analysis is 10x better
Privacy	No known public vulnerabilities found in the sources reviewed.	Two known breaches (2018, 2023) and a removed warrant canary; no security page found.
Support quality	24/7 expert coverage only via paid Premium tier	1.2/5 Trustpilot; account-access complaints
Public sentiment	G2 and Gartner reviews skew positive, especially on SMB value, while Reddit MSP threads are more divided.^⁵	Users value Reddit's candid communities but rate the company itself poorly and remain angry about 2023 API pricing.
Biggest gotcha	Base support is limited; true 24/7 coverage is a paid Premium Support add-on.¹⁴	2023 API repricing killed apps like Apollo overnight . paid API costs can spike unpredictably

Large enterprises needing XDR/SOAR breadth . CrowdStrike-class platforms fit better
Teams expecting 24/7 human response without buying the MDR add-on
Orgs wanting one vendor for email, identity, and network security . this is endpoint-only
Anyone wanting a free business tier . none found in sources
