VERDICT

Should I use Itechguides?

The software directory for tech - itechguides.com

Skip. iTechGuides is a software review and how-to site, not a product — there is nothing here to buy. Read its guides for free, but verify rankings elsewhere because vendors can pay for placement.

Confidence

Medium. Based on 12+ public sources. iTechGuides is a review/directory media site, not software — no purchase decision applies.

Best for

  • Free how-to research (Windows, PowerShell, security)
  • Shortlisting SaaS tools before trialing
  • Plain-English explainers for non-experts

Not for

  • Anyone shopping for software to install — this is a media site, not a tool
  • Teams trusting rankings for vendor selection — paid placements exist
  • Buyers needing verified, hands-on benchmark data

Gotchas - check before you buy

high

Rankings can be paid placements — vendors market their '#1 of 28' iTechGuides rank

medium

Monetization via vendor ads, 'partner incentives', and vendor pitch tags may color editorial rankings

low

Independent scanners score the site 79/100 — legit, not stellar

Pros and cons
