AG Grid vs Simple Table

Pick AG Grid when

  • Data-heavy enterprise apps
  • Excel-like grids with grouping and pivoting
  • Very large datasets (100k+ rows)
  • Embedded dashboards and admin panels

When AG Grid is not a fit

  • Simple lists or a few hundred rows . massive overkill
  • Tiny teams that can't absorb $999/developer
  • Devs wanting a lightweight, React-idiomatic table
  • Free-only budgets . top features sit behind the paywall
